Who is Simon Partridge? Where's he from? What makes him tick? And how did he wind up singing all those really, really old songs for a living?! Here's Simon to explain...
"I've been singing in public since I joined the church choir as a boy growing up in Staffordshire. In fact, my earliest paid gigs were at church where I got paid for singing with the choir at weddings. It was only something like £1.50, but it paid for a can of Panda Pop, a bag of Minstrels and that week's must-have 7" single from Woolworths, so I was happy!
"I've come a long way since then! I've been singing professionally full-time since 2006 and have performed at hundreds of weddings, parties and corporate events all over the UK.
"Right now it seems like the world needs a bit of elegance and glamour and I hope when audiences hear my songs they feel like I do - like I'm dancing with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire in an old Hollywood musical!
"Fads come and go, but class is timeless. That's why I sing these old songs - they're just pure class and they'll never go out of style."
